Dream Baby Grooming Kit

Every new parent is nervous when it comes to cutting those tiny little nails or brushing that delicate baby hair.

Dreambaby have developed a lovely little grooming kit for the precious newborns out there (well their nervous parents really!). Included in the kit is a super pair of nail clippers which are easy to hold thanks to the plastic handles (no more slipping in those sweaty nervous fingers) and they are super sharp which means nail cutting is quick and simple.

The kit also contains nail files, a comb, scissors a brush and a toothbrush – everything you need to take care of your little one,  it all comes in a neat little plastic case for the reasonable price of £9.99.

We loved the kit, the nail clippers were the best thing that we used, really easy to use on a wiggly baby.

Pink Lining Bramley Tote Review by Sara

All the mummies I know are on the look out for a stylish yet practical changing bag. After having my second I was looking for something a little bigger than the average bag to keep the multitude of essentials that I now needed to take out with me! Pink lining came to the rescue with their super stylish Bramley Tote. The minute it arrived it made me feel special with the beautiful pink packaging and the stunning prints.

Pink lining say: Sling it over your shoulder to look like a lady who lunches, rather than a mummy who ends up wearing baby’s lunch!!! It is a bucket shape bag with a zip across the top so it has plenty of room for all your baby essentials. The bottle pouch and changing mat can be removed when you no longer need them or for when you have an outing to the pool or beach. This bag has a large zip pocket across the front for all mummy things. The bag also comes with two removable hook and stroll clip shoulder straps for easy fit over any pram/buggy handle bars. Internal Features: 1x removable insulated bottle holder, 2x nappy pockets, pen holder, key fob, mirror, phone pocket, small zip pocket, padded changing mat and wet zip bag.

I really like the versatility of the bag and would recommend it as a top present for all those wanna be stylish mummies! A great quality bag for a reasonable price.

Wheelybug Review

Master T loves scooting round on ride on toys but they are often quite cumbersome, difficult to push on carpet and fill up the house. We were really pleased to be able to try the Wheelybug from Hippy Chick.

Hippychick ladybird wheelbug side on

The bug is a bumble bee which consists of a wooden base, swivel wheels and an upholstered upper which is equally comfortable as a seat as it is a ride on toy. The wheels move so easily that he can scoot round on both carpet and hard flooring. Master T’s favourite thing to do is to give it a good hard push and then lifting his legs up which results in him spinning in the kitchen.

The Wheelybug has a wide appeal and all the cousins want to have a go   resulting in regular swaps of the ride ons they are racing on. The bug is perfect for Master T’s little legs (2 years old) and equally enjoyed by Master G (3 and a half years) so I know he will play with it for some time to come still.

Master G has a well ridden mouse shaped Wheelybug which despite being almost three years old is still in pristine condition. The Wheelybugs are beautifully made with quality materials which are long lasting and enjoyed for many years.

Although the Wheelybugs don’t come cheap I would thoroughly recommend one as a special gift for a toddler.

A percentage of the profits of each Wheelybug sold in the run up to Xmas will go direct to the fantastic Make-A-Wish Foundation charity

Fabric Flavours–Review of Spider Man Pyjamas

Miss C loves Spider Man. she was over the moon when she received a pair of Spider Man Pyjamas to review.

photo (2)

Featuring a vintage-style distressed print of the original Marvel artwork on light grey marl, a crouching Spider-Man can be seen surrounded by webs. Printed above him are the words ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’, and below, the text reads ‘Marvel At The Awesome Might Of Spider-Man!’
The super-comfy pyjama bottoms feature a repeat pattern spider print and matching red ribbed waistband and ankle cuffs.

The quality of the pj’s is fantastic, they wash really well and haven’t bobbled like some pj’s do and they are still really soft. Miss C must have worn them every other night since we got them!

We also love the fact that they aren’t the normal blue and red design as when you have a little one who loves Spider Man you do get fed up of everything being red and blue.

We went for aged 5-6 (Miss C has just turned 4 but is tall and skinny) and the fit was fine, even on the waist so I would suggest going a little bigger than their age.

The Pyjamas are £22 and available from http://www.fabricflavours.com/. The last day to order in time for Christmas is 21st Dec.

The Fabulous Bakin’ Boys – Review

As you all know Miss E turned 2 a few weeks ago, to celebrate we had a birthday tea and we were kindly sent a selection of flap jacks, mini cupcakes, mini muffins and muffins.

Miss E didn’t know what to try first when we unpacked all the goodies.

IMG_0385

Miss E opted for a chocolate muffin whilst Miss C opened the raspberry flavoured mini cupcakes.

The mini cupcakes were enjoyed by all as the kids enjoyed eating the icing first then enjoyed the sponge, I thought the size was just right as nothing was waist. Miss C said “the lemon cupcakes are yummy!” Both Miss E and Miss C had them in their lunch boxes as they enjoyed them so much.

The mini muffins went down a treat too, especially the blueberry and chocolate chip ones. The blueberry ones were my favourite as I found them very moreish.

The flapjacks had a mixed reaction as we had some comments that they were too soft for a flapjack however out of all the products we tried these were Gizmodad’s favourite as “they were yummy”

Sigg Bottle Review and Giveaway

Caitlyn and George love drinking out of Sara’s Sigg bottle so when Sara was sent 2 children’s Sigg bottles she knew Caitlyn and George would be very happy to test them out.

8261_00_underwater_fun_RGB_klein

8261_10_forest_fun_RGB_klein

I was really impressed with Caitlyn’s bottle it is really colourful and she loves drinking out of it and it saves me a fortune in Fruit Shoots as she prefers to drink juice out of her bottle. Before her Sigg bottle it was quite difficult to get Caitlyn to drink juice or water out of a normal kids bottle.

We have been out and about a lot over the summer and take Caitlyn’s Sigg bottle with us as her drink stays fresh and cool the only trouble we had was when she first got the Sigg bottle she found it difficult to open and close the bottle but now she has no problems at all!

FACTS

  • The bottles are made in Switzerland from the highest quality and have been since 1908.
  • The bottles have a neutral taste and leave no residue inside the bottle, a fresh taste every time you use the bottle.
  • The bottles are uniquely lightweight and break-proof.
  • 100% leak proof.
  • Environmentally friendly and recyclable.
  • Flexible Eco Care Liner inside the bottle is completely FREE from BPA and phthalates.
  • No impairment of bottle due to dents and wear and tear.

What we liked:

  • The design of the bottle
  • The fact that the bottle doesn’t leak, it is great in Caitlyn’s nursery bag.
  • Caitlyn likes drinking out of it (so does Ellie)
  • It’s suitable for my 2 girls
  • It saves waste (I hate it when you have lots of plastic going in the recycling)
  • Lots of designs to chose from

What could be better:

  • The bottle came with a cleaning brush included

Babymule–A Review

I have a changing bag fetish! Sara and I have been testing out the great Babymule changing bag. The Babymule is something very different to other changing bags I have used. It can be used and worn in lots of different ways and best of all Gizmodad doesn’t mind carrying it around with him especially in the backpack mode.

babymule

I have been using it out and about, I love the nappy bag as it is great for holding my cloth nappies and handy when I need to do nappy changes as just pull the nappy bag out, on occasion I have even just used the nappy bag when popping to my mums.

I use the Babymule clipped to my buggy the majority of the time but if I use the sling I use it as a backpack, I find it great using it with the sling, so many of my mummy friends struggle with their change bags when they are using a sling.

Sara took the Babymule on holiday with her as I raved about the bag to her and she found it came in really useful especially taking Toby swimming and to the beach. Sara found that the bag held everything that she needed for a day at the beach and also the Babymule had enough space in it to hold everything they needed for swimming.

The claims:

Babymule: wear it as backpack, sling it over your shoulder as a messenger, or clip it to your buggy. All straps tuck seamlessly away. 180degree zips mean no more rummaging, poppers and nets keep everything in place, 6 secure pockets to organise your things. Changing pouch, change mat, bottle insulator and dirty bag included.

Wipe clean luxurious fabric is water resistant and Babymule can even go through the washing machine (delicates) if it has been thoroughly soiled. Designed with padded back & airflow system, padded straps, gunmetal components, branded zippers and embroidered logo.

High quality fabric and robust manufacture means Babymule is built to last; from newborn through toddlerdom and beyond; enough room for siblings and parents’ things. Babymule is made for the growing family.

What we liked:

  • The design
  • The way it has different ways to wear it, the fact the straps are hidden if you aren’t using it as a backpack
  • That it will last from birth upwards
  • The different compartments
  • It is so different from other bags I have tried

I like everything about the bag, when I first saw the price I was a little shocked however using the Babymule it is worth every penny

The Babymule is £84 available at Babymule

Leapfrog: Fix and Learn Speedy A Review

In my search for toys for 1-2 year olds I was kindly sent a Fix and Learn Speedy to review. Our house is full of girly toys and I thought it would be refreshing to have a less girly toy.

ToyFixandLearnSpeedy19.99LeapFrog

The car has been fought over for a few weeks now as both Caitlyn and Ellie love this brightly coloured toy. Ellie loves pushing it along and giggles when it plays the tunes and speaks to her, while Caitlyn loves playing with the screwdriver and spanner pretending to be a mechanic like her Uncle Guppy.

Fix and Learn speedy is a great toy to encourage imaginative play and teaches shapes, numbers and letters, this has really helped Caitlyn with her shapes and because she is playing she is really involved in the learning. We are also teaching Caitlyn her colours and because the car has lots of colours it is really helping.

The car gives you different instructions depending whether the bonnet is up or down. Caitlyn really enjoys the repair mode where you have to turn different buttons especially when it tells her it is running out of fuel. She also enjoys the counting and alphabet when the lid is down.

The claims

Get on the fast track to fun with Fix & Learn Speedy! Children can learn about shapes, counting and more as they play with a car that will tune up their motor skills and fire up their imaginations!
Appropriate for children ages 18-36 months.

What we liked:

  • Good toy for both the girls
  • There are so many bits that you can turn, push and pull.
  • Lovely and bright
  • Good value for money

We loved everything about the Fix and Learn Speedy Car it is available from all good toy stores at a RRP of £19.99
