Inch Blue Shoes Review and Giveaway

Ellie was sent some gorgeous Flopsy Purple shoes from Inch Blue to put through their paces as an idea for a present for Easter.

They come in a little clear bag with handles which I thought was a nice touch and the shoes are so soft. With many shoes we have tried we have a problem with them fitting as Ellie has quite small feet for her age.

Caitlyn was rather jealous of Ellie’s new shoes as she loved the rabbits on the front.

I was dubious about the shoes at first as thought that now Ellie is walking there isn’t much need for soft leather shoes. How wrong was I? Ellie wears them in the house most of the time as she is prone to slipping if she is just wearing soaks, she also wears them when we go out in the buggy as I feel they are more comfortable for her to wear and also she has worn them at playgroup and got lots of comments saying how cute her shoes were.

What we like

  • The softness of the shoes
  • Ellie can’t get them off which is a huge plus point for me
  • Gorgeous designs
  • Price is slightly high at £18 but the cuteness all their designs overcomes the price.

We have been given 2 pairs of Flopsy shoes to giveaway

Easter with Thornton’s Review and Giveaway

On Thursday the postman knocked on the door and we opened our parcel to find some lovely goodies from Thornton’s.

We received a Love Toffee Easter Egg and Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Egg Hunt was a great hit with the girls, they devoured an egg each as soon as they opened the parcel! I loved the packaging and it’s nice  to have the medium and small eggs in the pack, I also loved the colouring of the foils. I think it is a great product for £6.50.

We took the Love Toffee Easter Egg to Grandad Pete as he loves special toffee and chocolate so knew that it would be enjoyed. The egg has little bits of toffee in it and tasted lovey, I didn’t get any of the toffee as Grandad Pete ate it all but he assures me it was yummy! For £6.50 I think it makes a lovely Easter Egg.

We have been given an Eton Mess Easter Egg to giveaway

New to Thorntons this year is the Great British Puds range of Easter eggs. Inspired by the nation’s favourite desserts, Britain’s best-loved chocolatier has created these beautiful eggs, which are packed with real pieces of fruit that give the authentic flavour and texture of these famous British desserts. Spoil someone rotten this Easter and choose from the mouth-watering Lemon Meringue Pie Egg, Eton Mess Egg or Banoffee Pie Egg, RRP£14.99.

Cewe Photobook

I love creating photo books. For me I have to admit I tend to go for companies who have really easy programmes to use as I am not to good on the computer. Cewe asked if I wanted to try and make one of their photo books so I gave it a go.

First of all I had to download the software which I found easy enough, choosing which photos to upload was probably the most difficult part of the whole process as I couldn’t decide which one to use, in the end I decided just to do a photo book of the past year. Once the photos were up loaded I chose to enter the pictures in automatically and then just realigned and tweaked the photos to how I wanted them to be, for example zooming in on one of the pictures.

I loved the fact that you could put a photo on the front of the photo book. The turn around on the photo book was great as it came within a week of ordering.

I would recommend Cewe to order a photo book and it would make a great present for mothers day or even an alternative Easter gift.

Gift Ideas from Boots this Mothers Day

I love receiving smellies and one of the places I often go to to buy presents is Boots. This Mothers day they have lots of fabulous products for your mummy!

I was sent a few items to review from their ranges

No7 Protect & Perfect Intense Body Serum 200ml £27

I haven’t used a body serum before so wasn’t sure what to expect. I found the serum was really easy to apply and felt that it absorbed quite quickly into my skin which I liked. I have been using it mainly on my arms and legs and have found that my skin feels softer than it normally does even my husband has noticed!

Soap &Glory Eau De Soap &Glory Original Pink Perfume Spray 50ml £16.50

I loved the packaging of this perfume the box and the actual bottle. I really love the smell, it has a really girly smell, my daughter loved it too and said ‘mummy you smell pretty’, people at work also commented how nice I smelt when I wore it. I would really recommend this perfume as the smell is so nice and it has a great price point!

Boots Exacts Fairtrade Mini Body Butter Collection £7.50

I love these, I love the packaging and love the cuteness of the pots!

My favourite scent was the Almond body butter and found that all the body butters rubbed in well, I think the body butters would be great to take on holiday as found that they all moisturised my skin really well so would be great to hydrated your skin when sunbathing all day.

I think these make a great present especially from your little ones as the gift is cute in my opinion.

Boots have 3 for 2 Mix & Match across selected skincare, hand & body, self tan, indulgent bathing, No7 and vitamins

Active Rainforest Honey Review and Giveaway

I often hear that honey has healing powers so when I was offered to try out this gorgeous gift set in time for Mothers Day I was quite excited.

Mother's Day Gift Pack RRP 15.99

Mums can boost their health and wellbeing inside and out as the Active Rainforest Honey from Chile has not only been shown in studies to possess powerful antibacterial and antiseptic properties, but also has immediate and remarkable moisturising and soothing properties, nourishing the skin.  It has stronger biopotency than Manuka honey and taken directly on a spoon, on toast, or added to cold drinks and food, it tastes great too!

New mums might like to know that recommended use twice daily of the Antiseptic Honey20+ can help to diminish stretch marks and scars.

Who would have thought that honey could have so many uses!

The special edition Active Rainforest Honey Gift Pack is available to buy online at £15.99 from leading vitamins and supplements company Lifeplan at  and also from selected health food retailers.

I was a bit dubious about trying the antiseptic honey as I was worried that it would be really sticky, I was pleasantly surprised that although it was sticky putting it on, it wasn’t sticky afterwards and smelt quite pleasant. I have been using the antiseptic honey on my stretch marks and it seems to be calming them down!

The honey I gave to my mum to try as she has been using honey for a while now for her health and well being. She said it is nice and has a strong flavour but all in all my mum likes the honey and feels that it is great for her wellbeing.
